Six Big 12 baseball student-athletes were named to the Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division I All-American teams.
Baylor led the Big 12 with two honorees, while West Virginia, TCU and Texas Tech earned one each.
Bears’ relief pitcher, Kyle Hill, alongside WVU right-handed hurler Alek Manoah, earned first-team recognition. Manoah is the league-leader in strikeouts (135) and ERA (1.85).
Josh Jung of Texas Tech captured second-team honors, while TCU’s Nick Lodolo and BU’s Davis Wendzel were named third-team All-Americans.
Lodolo struck out 12 batters through seven innings pitched in his outing at the 2019 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball Championship, while the Big 12’s Co-Player of the Year, Jung, holds the second-most RBI amongst players in the league (53).
The Collegiate Baseball Freshmen All-American team will be released Wednesday, June 5.
