COMEBACK SEASON
It ain’t over until it’s over … Think your double-digit lead is safe in the NBA? Think again. The evidence is against your hubristic belief in your team’s invincibility. In fact, the record for double-digit comebacks in a single season was absolutely shattered this season, like Bob Beamon beating the long jump record by almost two feet. What in blazes is going on? THINGS TO CARE ABOUT
Turning the MLB draft upside down … Corey Stewart was selected by the Braves with the No. 8 pick in last year’s draft but didn’t get the signing bonus he was hoping for. As a result, the 19-year-old is striking out on his own, signing a six-year, $7 million contract with the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Japan’s Pacific League. It’s a fascinating decision. Not only will he be making more money than he ever would in the minors, but he’ll be competing at a higher level, with the potential of a huge payday when he turns 25. Is this the future for baseball prospects? Read More
No more Oklahoma drill? … Anyone who’ has played Pop Warner football knows about the Oklahoma drill. For those who don’t, you line up against a teammate — with one playing the defender and the other a blocker — and clash at high speed in an attempt to overpower your opponent. The NFL has asked teams to stop using that drill … and a few others as well. Read More

WHAT’S ON TONIGHT?
No. 13 Oklahoma State vs. No. 4 Florida State (7 p.m. ET, ESPN) & No. 9 Texas vs. No. 8 Alabama (9 p.m. ET, ESPN): The NCAA softball super regionals start tonight on ESPN. Pay special attention to the sluggers of Florida State — the Seminoles lead the nation with 104 home runs, and an astounding seven players each have 10 or more. Not a lot of ways for opposing hurlers to pitch around hitters.
Raptors at Bucks (8:30 p.m. ET, TNT): We have ourselves a series. The Bucks have been stunned by two consecutive defeats — one a double-overtime stunner, the other a double-digit rout. A trip back to Milwaukee could be the cure for what ails the Bucks, but if the Raptors continue on their roll, it’s gonna be difficult to stop them.
