19 Earn ITA Regional Honors

Nineteen Big 12 student-athletes, coaches and assistant coaches were honored by the ITA with its ITA NCAA Division I Regional Awards.

Three head coaches and two assistant coaches garnered recognition in their respective regions, while 14 student-athletes capped off the 19 who received awards.

The ITA honors handed out to the Big 12 representatives were: ITA Rookie of the Year, ITA Senior Player of the Year, ITA Player to Watch, ITA Most Improved Senior, Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award, ITA Assistant Coach of the Year and Wilson/ITA Coach of the Year.

Oklahoma led all Big 12 schools with six award winners, while TCU earned five.

Texas Tech’s Felicity Maltby was recognized for two awards, ITA Senior Player of the Year and ITA Most Improved Senior, while TCU’s Reese Stalder was the Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award recipient. Both honorees represented the Texas Region. 

The national award winners will be announced Inn Sunday, May 19, by the ITA.
