Six Big 12 Teams Head to NCAA Women’s Golf Regionals

Six Big 12 Women’s Golf programs were selected to compete in the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Regionals. The teams, selected by the NCAA women’s golf committee, will compete across four regional tournaments that will be conducted May 6-8.

Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas and Texas Tech will represent the Big 12 in the team competition. Oklahoma State’s Lianna Bailey and Han-Hsuan Yu will also compete as individuals in the Norman Regional. 

Baylor will descend on the Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Michigan. Iowa State will play in the Cle Elum Regional Site at the Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum, Washington. 

Big 12 Champion Texas, along with OU, TCU and TTU vie for a spot in the championship finals in Norman. The Sooners will host the regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.

A total of 384 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 132 will advance to the championships finals. Six teams and three individuals will advance from each regional.

The national championships will be May 17-22 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas, hosted by the University of Arkansas.
