Horsemanship Final Set at NCEA National Championship

April 20, 2019

The TCU Horned Frogs are set to compete in the 2019 NCEA National Championship Horsemanship Final on Saturday, April 20, at 2 p.m. CT in Waco, Texas.

The Horned Frogs advanced to the final of the discipline after taking down Big 12 opponent Baylor by raw score victory (879.5-851) and they will take on the Georgia Bulldogs.

All three Conference programs competed in their respective events, but were ultimately eliminated in all but one discipline.

The Horsemanship discipline saw action from the trio of programs as Baylor took on Oklahoma State while TCU faced Texas A&M in the quarterfinal round.

The matchup between the Horned Frogs and the Aggies concluded in a draw, which was then broken through a raw score, 864.5-860.5 in favor of TCU. The same result came of the Cowgirls and Bears matchup, as a raw score was used to break the 2-2 deadlock, advancing Baylor to the semifinal of the discipline.

This concludes the postseason run for BU and OSU as TCU will look to add another piece of postseason hardware to its cabinet.
