Three Big 12 women’s basketball players were selected in the 2019 WNBA Draft in New York City on Thursday evening. The Conference’s all-time total draft picks is now 116 in the 23-year history of the professional league.
Baylor center Kalani Brown was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Sparks, becoming the 36th Big 12 player to be taken in the first round.
In the second round, Baylor guard Chloe Jackson was selected third by the Chicago Sky. Seven picks later, Iowa State guard Bridget Carleton was picked ninth by the Connecticut Sun.
The draft consists of three rounds and 36 draft selections.
