Oklahoma’s trio of Brenna Dowell, Carly Woodard and Olivia Trautman received weekly award nods following the final week of gymnastics regular season competition.
Dowell garnered Gymnast of the Week, for the fourth time this season, for posting her third career 10 with a perfect mark on vault. The senior’s perfect score propelled her to a 39.700 in the all-around, her second-highest score of the season. She also took home both the vault and all-around titles, along with a share of the floor title.
Woodard was awarded Event Specialist of the Week, for the second consecutive week, after tying her career-high on beam with a 9.95 against Iowa State. The sophomore notched her fourth score of 9.9 or better this season in the meet and was her second consecutive meet over a 9.9.
Trautman received Newcomer of the Week, for the seventh time this season, after taking home a share of the floor title with a 9.95. The freshman’s floor title was her 13th event title of the year and her eighth on floor. Her performances on vault (9.875) and beam (9.850) also helped the Sooners to at least a 49.525 on all four events.
This is the fourth career honor for Woodard, eighth for Trautman and 11th for Dowell.
