Following the first day of the 2019 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship, the West Virginia men’s team and Texas women’s team are slotted in first place.
On the men’s side, West Virginia leads with 124 points followed by Texas (117) and TCU (66). On the women’s side, Texas sits in first with 80 points, followed by Kansas (66), Iowa State (64), West Virginia (62) and TCU (56).
Today’s events featured finals in the 200 medley relay, the men’s 1-meter dive and the 800-yard freestyle relay. Longhorn junior Grayson Campbell took home first place on the 1-meter with 375.25 points. In the 200 and 800 relay events, Texas swept the top times.
Preliminaries will begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. CT while the finals are set to start at 6 p.m. CT.
