For the second straight year, both the Texas Tech men’s team and the Texas women’s team were crowned the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Team Champions.

In addition to the team champions, 27 champions were crowned on day two, 14 to the men and 13 to the women.

The 2019 Big 12 Indoor Track & Field Championship High Point Award winners were Sharon Lokedi (Kansas) with 20 points for the women and Edwin Kurgat (Iowa State) and Divine Oduduru (Texas Tech), who shared the honors on the men’s side with 20 points each.

Day two on the women’s side saw Oklahoma State’s Sinclaire Johnson (2:44.23) break the Big 12 IT&F championship meet record with her first place finish in the 1,000m race. The 60m hurdles dash saw Cyclone Keira Christie-Galloway (8.17) tie her prelim time from day one to remain atop the Iowa State indoor school record book.
