One hundred percent of Big 12 swimming and diving programs were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their academic success during the 2018 fall semester.
On the women’s side, Iowa State, Kansas, TCU, Texas and West Virginia were honored while the men’s teams TCU, Texas and West Virginia were recognized.
The Kansas women’s swimming and diving team led the Conference with a 3.69 grade point average (GPA) followed by Iowa State with a 3.65. West Virginia earned the top mark among Big 12 men’s teams with a 3.17 GPA.
The award recognizes college and university swimming and diving teams who achieved a cumulative semester GPA of 3.0 or higher. In all, 713 teams from 460 schools were named to the Scholar All-America list for the 2018 fall semester.
