A total of four Big 12 student-athletes were recognized on the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division I football team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Zach Reuter (Kansas State), Adam Holtorf (Kansas State) and Britton Abbott (Oklahoma State) were named to the first team, while Justice Hill (Oklahoma State) was tabbed a second team honoree.
Reuter boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA in biochemistry/pre-med and Abbott maintained a 3.96/4.00 while receiving his MBA. Holtorf, an agribusiness major, earned a 3.96 GPA and Hill, a finance major, earned a 3.64 GPA.
OSU duo Abbott and Hill were present on last year’s Academic All-America team. Hill was a first team honoree and Abbott was a second team honoree in 2017.
The 2018 CoSIDA Academic All-America Team features 17 members with a 4.0 GPA and 34 members with at least a 3.90 GPA as either undergraduate or graduate student-athletes. The 26 members on the first team have an average GPA of 2.95.
