K-State senior guard Kayla Goth was selected as the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Texas guard Audrey Warren was named Freshman of the Week.
Goth averaged 17.5 points, 6.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds in a pair of wins for the Wildcats last week. She scored 20 points and dished out 10 assists while shooting 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the field against Lamar. In the win at Little Rock, she boasted 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Player of the Week accolade is the first for Goth.
Warren scored a career-high 21 points to pace the No. 12 Longhorns in an 88-82 loss to No. 9 Tennessee. She connected on 7-of-12 from the field (58.3%) and became the first Texas freshman since 2016-17 to score 20-plus points in a game. The weekly honor is the second for the freshman this season.
