United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region Teams Announced

Six Big 12 student-athletes were named to the United Soccer Coaches Division I Women’s Scholar All-Region Teams. Julie James (Baylor), Cyera Hintzen (Texas), Easther Mayi Kith (West Virginia), Bianca St. Georges (West Virginia), Sarah King (Baylor) and Camryn Wendlandt (Baylor) were honored for their work on and off the field.

James and Hintzen were named to the All-West Region First Team. James, the entrepreneurship/economic major, netted a 3.73 grade point average. Hintzen, the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, earned a 3.42 GPA in applied movement science. Both players were named to the All-Big 12 First Team.

WVU defenders Mayi Kith and St. Georges were named to the All-South Region First Team. Mayi Kith, an exercise physiology major, earned a 3.80 GPA. St. Georges, the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Academic All-America of the Year, boasted a perfect 4.0 GPA in exercise physiology.

King and Wendlandt were placed on the All-West Second Team. The political science major garnered a 3.79 GPA and the international business/business French major earned a 3.92 grade point average.
