Oklahoma State sophomore guard Braxtin Miller was named the Big 12 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Oklahoma guard Taylor Robertson earned Freshman of the Week honors.
Miller averaged 24.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists in three games last week to earn her first Player of the Week award. The sophomore became the 23rd different player in program history to log a 30-point game, with her 30-point performance at Wichita State. She dished out a career-high eight assists against Texas State and finished with a game-high 29 points against No. 11 Tennessee.
Robertson boasted an average of 25.0 points and shot 50 percent from the field (17-of-34) in OU’s contests at Auburn and New Mexico. She tallied a season-high 27 points at Auburn and led the Sooners with 23 at New Mexico. She registered her second and third games of the season with at least seven 3-pointers. The weekly award is the third for Robertson this season.
