Big 12 Opens Women’s Challenge with Two Wins

Kansas and TCU collected a pair of road victories on Thursday evening to give the Big 12 its first two victories of the SEC/Big 12 Women’s Challenge.

A trio of seniors in Jessica Washington, Kylee Kopatich and Christalah Lyons all netted a double-figure scoring performances and led the Jayhawks in scoring in a 68-61 victory at LSU. Kopatich led the team with 14 points with Washington and Lyons added 12 and 10 points, respectively. All three seniors dished out three assists, combining for nine of the team’s 11 assists. 

Double-doubles from Amy Oknokwo and Jordan Moore propelled TCU to 55-50 win over Ole Miss in Oxford on Thursday. Okonkwo connected on 8-of-12 (.667) for 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Moore grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds while scoring 15 points.
