For the second consecutive year, 21 soccer student-athletes have been recognized on the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region Team. This a Big 12 record-setting number, breaking the previous high of 18 set in 2011.
Eight Big 12 teams were represented on the All-Region teams. Baylor and West Virginia led the Conference with four selections, followed by TCU and Texas with three apiece. Kansas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech had two selections each, along with one selection from Oklahoma.
The final regional and national rankings will be released next Tuesday, Dec. 4 followed by All-America Teams in the coming days.
