Will they cancel the game if the T is below 40°F?I'm waiting for an SEC team to be dispatched to the Hoth system in late November.
Gonna watch as much Penn St-Minnesota as I can but WVU-Texas Tech gets my attention in the noon slot.
Then I’ll settle in LSU-Bama and whatever I can flip to through the afternoon and evening. Heading out to get some wings to throw in the smoker.
Where in SoCal are you? With the username I think I always just assumed you were in AZ...
This is pretty much my viewing template as well, save for sticking to the Penn St Minnesota game. Driving up the road to my brother’s. I don’t know if he’s grilling or ordering pizza again. Hopefully we open some windows because it’s Southern California with temps not lowering below 60.
We do have a HDCP thing now. I hate how those get abused, I'm not going to use it when it's just me driving.Correct I have a former coworker friend that went out on disability - back/neck.He seemed much more distressed at work but drives around and gets in/out of his truck with a lift kit no problem. But he pulls that parking card for convienence all the time.Another friend has the HDCP Card also but only uses it when he drives his son around who's had heart surgery

TCF is rocking. The Dome would never have deserved this game. That's a fact. This crowd is juiced out of their mind.
Ahh. I'm up the road in OC.
From AZ, yes, but since graduating college 7 years ago I’ve bounced all across the US. As of last January I’m in San Diego County.
TCF is rocking. The Dome would never have deserved this game.
So OSU basically did an onsides kick, but it was just the kicker lobbing a perfect ball to three sideline which Olave caught.Because they need ALL THE HELP they can get.
Because they need ALL THE HELP they can get.Come on now that was cool looking
Lame.
Come on now that was cool lookingWould support the rumor that it was Maryland's staff who ratted out Young.
Come on now that was cool lookingYes, it was a good play, but really? Against Maryland, it just looks weak.
Would support the rumor that it was Maryland's staff who ratted out Young. How does that even make sense?
Yes, it was a good play, but really? Against Maryland, it just looks weak.
That's funny right there I don't care who you are
Least we know Ohio State wasn’t looking ahead to Rutgers
There was probably Pass Interference there... but that was a dumb decision. Clifford needs to calm down. Not sure how the officials missed that
Rutgers has a bye week, so they have an extra week to prepare.
Least we know Ohio State wasn’t looking ahead to Rutgers
I haven't watched Minnesota at all this season.. but our D doesn't seem like they were coached to play against them at all.Bell & bateman are studs on the outside
How does that even make sense? Why else would they burn that against Maryland? As you said
FFS
Not sure how the officials missed thatAbsolutely PI. Gophers are still playing better, overall, but it’s closer than the score looks.
Why else would they burn that against Maryland? As you saidThey also were calling timeouts inside of a minute left in the first half up 42
Absolutely PI. Gophers are still playing better, overall, but it’s closer than the score looks. Not unreasonable to think PSU gets points there.Still Gophs took the ball and rammed it down the Lions throats
Well maybe Pitt is losingThat does help a little. Thanks.
Well maybe Pitt is losingBye week, so no...but they aren't winning either!
Bye week, so no...but they aren't winning either!I thought we were past using that 'bye' word.
Not a fan of the fade on 4th down. Lions on the ropesshould have went to the TE
penn st doesn't have a FG kicker?Still 2 scores
would have been 9
Don't like Minn turtling on offense there.Once they were so far behind the sticks, I'm good with it
delay not called
piss poor officiating as usual
I think it is consistently called that way. You always get an extra half second.Correct
Correctbut, obviously incorrect
And Baylor scores on a 4th and 6 in the second OT to make it 23-22. XP pending. As long as this game never ends, I don't have to suffer through MSU-Illinois
but, obviously incorrectThere were enough terrible calls both ways, that really neither team can complain about anything other than general incompetence
As long as this game never ends, I don't have to suffer through MSU-IllinoisWhat you didn't switch over to Fox Business Channel??
There were enough terrible calls both ways, that really neither team can complain about anything other than general incompetenceagreed
Game over in Ft. Worth. Baylor survives.:'(
6 plays, 92 yard drive for LSU. Bama doesn’t see those very often.hopefully, they will get used to it
Definitely going to get an overturn on the fumble and the ejection when you are down 28-3 20 minutes into the gamrYup, there's a "you are already down 25" sympathy double overturn
Think Burrow is 11-11 right nowMight win himself the Heisman this weekend if he outplays Tua, and Young's suspension sticks.
Edit 12-13
Might win himself the Heisman this weekend if he outplays Tua, and Young's suspension sticks. Some good guys up for the award this season
Some good guys up for the award this seasonYeah, but RBs, WRs, and defenders who miss any time and/or aren't the best defensive player in a decade are unworthy of mention.
PSU's DBs looked goofy, giving up YAC....was that a concern before the game today? Both secondaries looked horrible. Minnesota had three picks, but guys were running open all day both ways. Minnesota just converted theirs and PSU WRs had some drops, and Clifford missed some open guys.
So, do we conclude that Alabama is mediocre (relatively) having not been tested and losing big? Or that LSU is a juggernaut as they have been tested now.LSU had already been tested. They are just damn good.
If this stands, I'd have to move LSU to #1, not that it matters of course. Clemson to #3. I'd probably rank the two Pac teams ahead of UGA (if UGA wins).
Is LSU and OSU that far ahead of the field?
Joe 18-20 unbeleivableHe's done it all year.
MSU has a ton of depth at LB. Jeslord Boateng and Noah Harvey both look great.Boateng, eh? Nice.
You misunderstand - I was saying OSU hasn't been tested.I think he was referring to my post, which I clarified. I worded it poorly.
Yeah, I was meaning to note that LSU has been tested even before this game with UF and Auburn, and perhaps Texas. Now, presuming they hold on, they have 4 very nice looking wins, one very tough one on the road here.2 things:
After this game, they have @ Ole Miss, Arkansas, and A&M. Eleven of us could beat Arkansas this year. Maybe the let down trips them at Ole Miss, but I doubt it, and A&M is not scaring anybody much.
They should be 12-0 going to ATL unless Bama manages some huge come back. Turnovers have obviously been a big factor.
It is shocking how bad Arkansas is this year. Can anyone recall a team in the past from a decent program this bad?I still might take the Hogs by a point over Rutgers this year.
He's done it all year.He went 22-28 in 2016 and looked and ran like today, didn't get the chance
LSU fans poo-poo the Brady angle, giving all the kudos to Burrow, but I'm not buying it. The difference from last year to this year is night-and-day in terms of play-calling and the overall style of play on the offense.
It is shocking how bad Arkansas is this year. Can anyone recall a team in the past from a decent program this bad?Neither was as bad as Arkansas this year, but they're better programs overall - 2012 Auburn or 2008 Michigan.
He went 22-28 in 2016 and looked and ran like today, didn't get the chancei have no idea why people keep citing garbage-time stats from 3 years ago......
Bama scores here they're back in itIt's possible you can call the ballgame right now. Getting that turnover at that spot on the field and having to punt? Forget it.
The Razorbacks have two wins, and only lost to aTm by 4.They also lost to an FCS team and just got waxed by Western Kentucky 45-19...and it was worse than the score.
There's been a few Michigan teams that were worse than that.
Every close up of Saban shows him putting his head down and turning to the right.Stock footage...
i have no idea why people keep citing garbage-time stats from 3 years ago......Garbage & no idea - your specialty, because the guy in front of him was fattening stats against the very same squads.Who is by the way sitting on a sofa like you watching the game
Najee Harris with a drive as Bama gets back into it.Harris playing with a purpose.
Garbage & no idea - your specialty, because the guy in front of him was fattening stats against the very same squads.Who is by the way sitting on a sofa like you watching the gameI'm going by what actually happened and you're going by what might've/could've/should've happened.
Lewerke gets his second excessive celebration flag of the year for giving a fan a high fiveSorry. Hate to say it, but I'm glad to see someone else get this penalty. Seen other teams players do it, and nada.
I'm going by what actually happened and you're going by what might've/could've/should've happened.go find an SEC thread you don't know squat about OSU Football - now Joe Burrow is great - because he finally has your attention/approval!!Again garbage and no idea - stick to what you're good at.Would you like to see the combined records of those teams?JT had lots of help - they're in the NFL unlike him,how about iowa/michigan 2017,Clemson 2016,Joe never got the chance but now you notice.Youre the pissy one, dishing it out and screaming when it comes back
And I still don't know why you're so pissy.
Burrow's pass attempts came against:
Bowling Green
Rutgers
Nebraska
Maryland
The scores of those games:
77-10
58-0
62-3
62-3
Case closed.
LSU alive againWhat a QB ;D :67:
And now the true freshman filling in for Allen makes a shitty snap. This is unbelievableThat score has gotten increasingly more interesting.
Fire everyone. Second game this year we are going to lose because we surrendered a 4th and 16 in the final two minutes. The defense isn't worth crapWhat happened?missed it watching LSU/Tide

Could you quote where I've been pissy about this?Let it go but every time sheesh, anyway good you've noticed Joe good luck to you
What a win for LSU and Coach O. Big boy college football played this evening in Tuscaloosa. You know, if OU and Texas played a 46-41 game, all anyone would be talking about is how neither of them played any defense.

From another board:86:What is going on with Coach Ed?He beats BAMA and all of a sudden you can understand every word.
Let it go but every time sheesh, anyway good you've noticed Joe good luck to youSo no quote? Mkay, thanks.
You know, if OU and Texas played a 46-41 game, all anyone would be talking about is how neither of them played any defense. If OU and Texas played a 46-41 game, it would be wholly unremarkable.
But when it's the top two teams in the SEC, it's "big boy college football."
Why is that?
If OU and Texas played a 46-41 game, it would be wholly unremarkable.Heh! That must mean that OU and Texas play big-boy college football every year! :72:
So no quote? Mkay, thanks.Every time you post,Good to see you've finally noticed Joe,more importantly he's forever grateful he now has your approval - it meant a lot to him.

Oh, you mean like South Carolina over Georgia? At Georgia? With the 3rd-string QB for USC-E?
they do - the setback is that nobody else in their conference does, and those half-bodies still find ways to take down the big-boys! Kansas St and TCU for example 🧐🤗
Are comparing UGA with whoever the BigXII's 3rd-best recent program is? Really? What? (https://outalk.us/Smileys/default/huh.gif)

Ha see the web he weaves and presents it as your prob.....um our problem - we need to work on this :DHe could just say no. At least he doesn't throw a hissy fit.
I hear 9-0 feels great...It does.
I wonder if anyone guessed anywhere close to that Bama-LSU score. I probably would have guessed around 27-24.We'll see how much Minnesota's helmet keeps them from the 'in' crowd of undefeateds. The herd mentality would be to put them one spot ahead of Penn State, but the helmetocity of the two is so diverse, it makes you wonder. And it'll be interesting to see if the 2-loss Florida and Auburn teams stay ahead of the Gophers.
The rankings will be interesting. Minny certainly showed they are not a schedule team, a team that is only 8-0 because of schedule. I wouldn't drop Penn State all that far, but do they have to be behind Minny?
A big jump makes sense for a team that’s passed its first real test, no?Yep, some of that heard mentality coming into play.
Fire everyone. Second game this year we are going to lose because we surrendered a 4th and 16 in the final two minutes. The defense isn't worth crapLooking at the highlights, they seemed to pick on the one CB with the WR with 15 letters in his name. And I'd put the loss on Lewerke, based on what I saw. First, he got lucky his failure to recover the bad snap-fumble didn't cost them, and then that last INT was atrocious. It feels like he's been your QB for 6 years now, and he's making that mistake late in a game?
It's been over 24 hours, and I don't think it's sunk in yet. I mean, every time the Gophers have been in a spot to do something like that in my lifetime, they've been unable to come through. Until they did. It's very surreal. That’s awesome. I like it when long suffering fans are rewarded. Enjoy it.
I completely screamed my voice out. Whatever little was left before the final interception was gone shortly thereafter. I still sound like ten miles of bad road. I wasn't crying, but there were a lot of happy tears being shed. The crowd was as good of a crowd as I've ever seen at a game.
No rest for the wicked, though. Gophers haven't won at Mordor since 1999, and I'll not believe the Badgers are out of it until the clock reads 0 and the crowd is back on the field parading the Axe around.
What a day.

The wife's surgery went well. They excised a substantial mass around her hip called a "pseudo-tumor". They sent samples to pathology but it almost certainly is benign. He replaced her ball with a new ceramic coated ball. She was reacting to the metal fragments being thrown off by her old hip implant. That was irritating her sciatic nerve and causing part of the problem. The surgeon said her nerve looked fine and her bone structure was fine. They did all this with an epidural.Glad to hear everything went well
She was up and walking earlier. They gave her some oxy as some pain was starting up. She is overnight at the hospital.
So, good news on the wife front. She's a great gal even if she is a furriner.

So, good news on the wife front. She's a great gal even if she is a furriner. I almost had to look that up
Laundry?Ya that's when you shove every color and fabric type in the large motorized tub filled with HOT water in the basement.Provided you have a basement

We men are lucky in that we don't have to go through childbirth.Yeah, but I had to put with my wife going through it 3 times. That was rough. ;)
Yeah, but I had to put with my wife going through it 3 times. That was rough. ;)I had to put up with my ex wife doing it three times.
We men are lucky in that we don't have to go through childbirth.
Shes says her pain level is zero and she took no oxy today. That's good news. She has a walker and a knee brace and is getting around slowly. This is similar to hip replacement surgery, though it was "hip revision" technically. She managed a quick shower this morning. I taped cellophane over the bandage.Good news on both fronts CD. That she is doing well, and has a high pain threshold. 👌
So, she is progressing well. She's a bit "tough" because she seems to have a high pain tolerance. I'd probably be crying like a baby.
We men are lucky in that we don't have to go through childbirth.Think it was Carlin who got into the discussion and stated getting nailed in the nuts hurt more than child birth and the the crowd of women were booing/panned him.He simply replied he's heard many women say they'd love to have more kids but no guy has ever said they'd like to get nailed in the nuts again
