It appears I may get to be there Friday to enter this plea and avoid jury trial the 2 days prior to Turkey Day (I can only imagine how pissed jurors would be at 5 pm Wed prior to Thanksgiving stuck there), and again on Monday afternoon for what I hope the hell would be my last case there.  Volunteered to take some cases there, since my kid's up there, thought it would work great.  Thought wrong...they are a pain in the ass.

As far as Wild Bill on the sideline...can you imagine old skool guys like him and TO operating in the present environment?

Wow, congrats!  That is no trivial feat.  Hope it pays off with multiple years added to your life.
Thanks, man.  It's been an exercise in willpower for sure.  You know how many carbs are in an IPA??  20g is damn few.

Potatoes, bread, beer.  Nixed except for a rare blowout celebration.  But it's been worth it.

Consume less than 20 grams of carbs per day.  High fat, low carb intake.

Dr. Boz, Dr. Berg, and Dr. Ken Berry on the youtubes are awesome sources.  Keto Continuum by Dr. Boz is a great enlightener.

Taking a minute to wait on the persecutor to ring me back.  There is a chance at a deal here.

You guys remember when Hooky would cosplay he was a lawyer and various other things?
Ol' Slick cosplayed a lot of things.  What an awesome character, he is sorely missed in the world.

He used to invite me to Bikini's for lunch, where we'd talk about football and pretend to not be ogling the waitresses in their bikini tops.

Ok, I'm lying.  We didn't pretend not to ogle.  We leaned into it.

Shortly after I moved back to Louisiana I got a text from him, asking if I wanted to meet up for one last hurrah before I left.  I told him, regretfully I'd already moved but I'd be happy to catch him on one of my visits back.  Though I texted him a handful of times after that, I never did see him in person again.

Furk.

Never got to meet Hooky.  Drove my maxi-van down with 4 of us riding in style for the Cats-Horns game in 2011, I think it was.  Got to meet Utee, Burnt Eyes and Erin, partake of the barbeque and Live Oak kegs.  Got treated very well, enjoyed the trip.  Bonus was that Purple Reign was still in effect.  We won, with like 111 yards of total offense.
Was able to partake of 6th Street on Friday night, and South Congress Saturday afternoon before beginning the tailgate.  Was nice that it was a night game.

I just missed you by a couple of years.  I usually made a game or two between '05 and '09.  I had a good friend there who was a Longhorn grad and big fan, plus I missed the excitement and buzz of a gameday for a big program and Baton Rouge was just too far for me to make, so I swung by the UT games as they were close.

I usually tried to hit up utee's famous tailgate when I went, though I don't know if he was still doing those by 2011.

Said tailgate is where I had my first and only cow tongue sampling.  He warned me I might not like it, but I figured as the resident coonass I shouldn't disappoint my people by not even checking whether something was good or not.  After all, we're the folks who looked at some bugs crawling in a ditch and said "You know, I think I'd like to eat that."
