Gotta have coast to coast coverage like the B1G.  All the other sports would hate the shorter trip, right?

And speaking of Deion, I watched some of the beatdown he got at the hands of Utah Saturday night.  Wonder if the Utes put the watergirls in to keep from scoring 80?

Anyway, that's Seventeen consecutive over KU.  So we've got that going for us, which is nice.

Holy cow, what a streak!

I couldn't help myself, watched a Locked On Jayhawks podcast afterward.  Said he is never going to pick KU again until they actually win one.  Poor guy.

We got a ways to go to get to the 36 Nebraska held over them!  We have, however, effected a longer in time streak than the horrid, embarrassing, abominable 31 straight they beat us in basketball, since we played at least 2 times a year and sometimes 3.  However, with the teams they had during that time--and the really bad teams we had, that was at least a little bit understandable.  They were supposed to win Saturday, and if not now, when?  6th year Qb, home at new stadium, pretty good coach that has turned them around, hand them a TD gift lead right off the bat...

I don't want to sound braggadocious, I was very concerned it would end this year.  Especially when we were 1-3, and didn't really deserve to have won the 1.

That's a good one, Fearless!

Sorry to see that USC came back to beat the Huskers in the 4th quarter. Matt Rhule seems to have made the program better, but not quite better enough. So far, at least.

I'm not sure about Rhule at this point but it's only year 3.
tough break on the QB's leg

It was handy to have the Cats/Tech game on Fox Saturday, so I didn't even have to change the channel to watch that Game 7 for the ages.  It was far more enjoyable--even though I had no real rooting interest--than the formerly "amateur" college game.

The NIL has been very successful for Tech.  Their defense is for real, looking forward to seeing how they fare against BYU next week and how the conference race pans out. Tech has a bunch of guys that are going to play on Sunday.  Another thing for sure, KSU is squarely middle of the pack--for the 3rd consecutive year.

2 instances of being down 15 this weekend, and going for 2 in the first of the 2 touchdowns needed to catch up.  The Cats went for 2 on that first one, and missed it, so they were down 9 and I think the momentum dies when that happens.  The great RC Slocum, when down 15 in the 4th to the Cats in 1998, kicked the first one, got the deficit down to 8, and then went for 2 to tie.

The Chiefs made their first 2 pointer to bring the deficit to 7, so that worked.

Neither one scored the next one they needed anyway, but I think I would go with the RC Slocum method over HOF Andy Reid.

RC Slocum…we should have just kept him. What year did Urban Meyer break-out?  2004 or 05 ?  RC could have retired and Urban could be the guy.
