Yep. Over the next 30 minutes plus OTs, Kirby Smart outcoached Lincoln Riley like an NFL coach against a HS coach. Actually, the UGA comeback began with that short drive to a long FG right before halftime. Muleshoe thought he could just coast into halftime after OU went up 31-14. But Kirby figured that he might as use what time was still on the clock.

When Muleshoe played for a tie in the 1st OT, I knew that that Georgia would win.

Kirby had guts; Lincoln played it safe.

I was going to post this after Utee's "scoreboard" post right before yours, but it works just as well here.

Quote
"For over a thousand years, Roman conquerors returning from the wars enjoyed the honor of a Triumph--a tumultuous parade. In the procession came trumpeters and musicians and strange animals from the conquered territories, together with carts laden with treasure and captured armaments. The conqueror rode in a triumphal chariot, the dazed prisoners walking in chains before him. Sometimes his children, robed in white, stood with him in the chariot or rode the trace horses. A slave stood behind the conqueror, holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear that all glory is fleeting."

I'm sure every team has seen a comfortable half time lead lost.  The most heart breaking examples would be interesting, it it's not about my team.

You gotta admit, leading 35-7 with a minute left to go in the 1st half, then having this happen is pretty funny if you're not an oSu fan:

Didn’t something similar happen in back to back years ?  I seem to recall it  happed multiple times with oSu and Texas.

The 2005 game wasn't quite as bad scoreboard-wise, 28-9 with 5 minutes to go in the 1st half, but the Texas truly looked awful. When the 2nd half started, they were, once again, a completely different team and threw up 5 unanswered TDs.
