Big 12 mess
« on: October 15, 2023, 01:18:24 AM »
Outside of OU and Texas, it is hard to rank the rest of the Big 12.  It looks like those teams are going to cannibalize each other the rest of the season.
KSU looked strong until they lost to OSU.  They had a good outing tonight, clobbering TT.  They did it with the QB run game.  They have a true freshman Viking who ran for 5 TD's and he could spin the ball pretty good.
WVU was looking good until they lost to Houston.
ISU is rebounding some, beating Cincinatti soundly today.
TCU hammered BYU today.  BYU had been looking like the 3rd or 4th team.
Anyhow I hope OU keeps on their toes.

As a low-expectations Arizona Wildcats fan who appreciates the initiative my alma mater took to flee the Pac 12 before the supporting pillars gave out, I'm all for landing in a conference without long-established crime bosses.

Right now the Wildcats are in the midst of facing five straight ranked opponents, and for the sake of better odds, I'm looking forward to getting a break if 3-3 Vs BYU, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Houston, TCU, and Iowa State is manageable.

To use mob terminology, the Big 12 without Texas and Oklahoma will be a glut of capos at each others throats. Where six conference games in, all the 3-3 teams still have a shot at winning the conference.
