So he passed up a sure fire No 1 in the NFL Draft for the minor leagues?QBs are suppose to be the smartest on the field must have felt different of his chances than you did
He liked playing baseball more than he liked playing football. Yankees offered him $17 million and he took it. He had a ton of baseball talent- but he had otherworldly football talent at the QB position. He was 6'4, 230 pounds and had ridiculous arm strength, made good decisions, had a quick release, threw very accurately, could throw on the run and across his body accurately- and oh yeah he ran in the 4.6's- he could really move.

Didn't collect all that got like 2-3 million before signing with the cowboys in 2004 for a guaranteed 3.5 mil.So he would have made more going to the NFL - though he's not hurting

He collected $10 million of it- and the reason he didn't collect it all obviously is because he quit baseball early to try and chase the NFL after he was having trouble hitting the curveball and adjusting to the MLB. The guy was just a wishy washy flake, who had a psycho stage Dad constantly in his ear pressuring him. His father honestly ruined his career imo. His father pressured Lloyd Carr to get his son on the field early instead of redshirting and letting him develop, and his father pressured him to take the deal with Yankees and the money.

Henson was on the cover of Sports Illustrated as a senior in high school for breaking the national high school home runs record- and was drafted by the Yankees in 1998 right out of high school in the 3rd rd of the MLB draft and Steinbrenner signed him to a $2 million minor league contract. Steinbrenner was obsessed with him and didn't want to let him get away to the NFL like Elway did. Henson would have been the Yankees 1st round pick had he not signed his LOI with Michigan and made it clear he was playing college football. The kid missed spring practice every year to play baseball and still wound up pushing Brady in '99 and then having just a hell of a season in 2000.

He tried coming back to football in 2004 but Bill Parcells never wanted him- it was Jerry Jones who pushed to sign him. And honestly- it was just never going to happen. He hadn't played a single snap of football since 2000- and that was college football- not the big boy league. You can't be away from playing football for 4 years and then just think you can jump to the NFL to play QB. Maybe another position- but NOT that position- I don't care how physically gifted you are. Ain't ever going to happen in a billion years.

KC offense just looks like its on easy mode. Buffalo offense looks to be playing on legendary. It just really really difficult for them on that FG drive.

No he didn't collected 1 million signing bonus then 1 million for 02 & 03 each. The rest was to come later at the back end of the contract if he made it.Only played 02 & 03 then signed with the Cowboys for 3.5 guaranteed.Steinbrenner wasn't dumb guys come thru like that are a dime a dozen

Allen needs help but the defense has no answer for Kelce/Hill

Feels like Bills entirely too conservative this game

IDK why they aren't calling runs for the best running QB not named Lamar Jackson. KC D has been ignoring the run all game. Mahomes would have trouble completing passes the way they are blanketing the WRs.

Bills just do not have the offense to keep up with this high flying KC attack.

SO...

Keys for Tampa in SB vs KC....

Arians needs to check his ego at the door. They HAVE to run the ball more- a lot more- instead of saying hey Tom- let's just go bombs away all game long.

Evans/Godwin who have BOTH had issues with drops this entire playoff- need to catch the ball when it hits them in both hands.

Antonio Brown needs to come back and play a bigger role. I trust him a lot more than Evans/Godwin.

Gronk needs to be more involved in the pass game then just 1 target.

They need both their starting safeties back against a passing attack from KC that quite frankly is lethal as it gets and not sure it can even be stopped. Just have to hang on for dear life and try to get lucky and a stop here or there.

he's a perfect fit in their 3-4 scheme. I thought McDowell would be the better pro between the two former MSU studs- but that one hasn't even been remotely close.

Ariens didn't tell Brady to throw up those floaters. He checks the calls and runs what he wants. If TB mixes it up on the ground Brady could keep it close.Brady wouldn't keep doing stupid shit even if the coach ordered it.Two decades in the League are starting to limit him a bit.KC is just a machine right now hitting on all cylinders
