Teams are so nervous to let Good, but not great, quarterbacks hit the open market. I don't blame them, it is what has been established. What I do question is why. Aside from the Vikings paying cousins, how many teams have paid top dollar for a free agent quarterback? Part of the issue is that they don't come available, and I do wonder if teams are scared to be the one who does allow it to happen.
I'm interested to see if a team has the guts to exercise that 4th year rookie option, and trade him. I would rather start over, then pay a ton of money for a quarterback between #8-#20 in the league. Those guys are legitimate starting NFL quarterbacks, but you can't win while paying them
