The Lions' last two first round picks, T.J. Hockenson and Jeff Okudah, battling it out to see who can be more responsible for a loss to a bad Carolina team, playing without Bridgewater or McCaffrey

Let's be honest, they were both bad picks. You don't take a TE in the top 10, period. Unless he's a Gronk clone- and even Gronk went 2nd round because of all his injuries. Lions should've learned that lesson when they took Ebron in the top 10.

And I've been saying since before that draft not to take Okudah. It's not that I didn't like him. You just don't take a CB that high unless he's a Woodson or Bailey type prospect. Okudah was FAR from that.

Joe Burrow with a nasty looking knee injury. He's done for the year. Bengals OL has been getting him killed all year. If they don't spend big money in F/A and use picks in the draft to get him some OL's and some blocking TE's he won't last 5 years.

He is legit. But they need to get him help or he's not going to last.

Colts Vs Packers: Have never seen a team in position to run out clock and win (Colts) lose due to numerous clock-stopping holding calls against the OL gave opponent (Packers) enough time to get ball back and do damage. In this case Packers force OT. FIVE holding penalties against Colts OL on what should've been their game ending possession.

edit: Packers force OT with FG. OT starts with Packers driving until fumble puts Colts in FG position for win, 34-31.

Weird that a bunch of calls would go Green Bays way

Kind of a poignant scene as Haskins, Terry McLaurin, and Chase Young all stood around Burrow as they loaded him on the cart

Wow I agree with you that you should not take a corner in the top 10, I think Jeff Okudah will end up being a pretty darn good player.

there is almost no Charles Woodson‘s or champ Bailey’s left and it’s partly because the NFL has change the rules to be tilted so much in favor of the offense.  There’s almost no such thing as a shut down corner in the NFL anymore. The wide receivers have such an advantage and are so good.
Also Okudah did not have the benefit of a preseason and all the coaching that comes from game film and had that hamstring injury early. He really is learning by fire.
Get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please.

Well I guarantee if they couldn't wear those spiderman/gecko gloves the offensive numbers would drop. Now every reciever looks like Paul Warfield/Lynn Swann. There was one game a few yrs  back a reciever couldn't immediately shake the ball from his hand.Browns/Buckeyes can't remember which shaking his hand like he burnt it on a stove

The amount of money that the Lions have made for backup QBs is..... a lot.

Hockerson wasn't a bad pick I guess. The 1st round in 2019 looks rather weak in hindsight. He seems like he should be better than the stats he puts up though.

Okudah, probably wait and see. The entire Lions secondary was gutted, patricia is a joke, so yea he was just thrown to the wolves.
