Great game last night

horrible injury to Mo  and is likely out for the season

Refs did not lose the game for the gophers but it is shocking how inconsistent they are

having as much talent as OSU has at every position is a great level to be at

The gophers had to play a perfect game and get some breaks and they just didn't play perfectly.  they played well but not perfect

biggest turning point was the strip fumble recovery for the TD  that took a lot out of the guys

OSU is a very talented team and will be a tough team to beat.  QB will get better and the defense will get better

good luck the rest of the season

Yes, agree across the board.  I know some tOSU fans are salty about the fairly soft roughing call, and I get it, but I feel like that call gets made 80% of the time these days, whether it should be or not.

And the Buckeyes also benefitted from some bad calls that went against the Gophs, one pretty egregious DPI went uncalled, I think it was a deep pass down the sideline that would have built momentum for the boat-rowers.

But overall the Buckeyes are just so talented, so deep, and it showed through over the course of the game. They're really fun to watch, and in an alternate reality where Saban's Alabama doesn't exist, I feel like we'd be talking about the current Buckeyes in similar tones.

It was a super-entertaining game, i enjoyed it a lot.

Also when I saw the injury to the Minnesota RB, I felt like it was really bad.  Sure hope he has a full recovery as soon as is possible.  That's a gut punch.

ELA. do you like Tucker?  When Kirby was hired, Tucker was his 1st, last and only choice for DC and I trust Kirby's football judgement.  I am interested in seeing how Tucker does if he is allowed time.

I'm old enough to remember when Nebraska didn't have permanent lights

the 80s

In the early 1980s, portable lighting was occasionally used to allow Memorial Stadium to host late afternoon games on national television, often against Oklahoma. The first official night game at Memorial Stadium took place on September 6, 1986, when Nebraska defeated Florida State 34–17. Permanent lighting was installed in 1999, which was replaced with an LED lighting system in 2018.

Jury is out.  I think he's saying the right things.  I'm just not sure you are ever going to outtalent the top at MSU, and that seems to be his plan.  The flip side to that criticism is you have a low ceiling.  Your best case scenario is to upset OSU and get throttled by Bama in a CFP.  He has clearly already upgraded the roster from what Dantonio let it become in his last couple years.  But can he coach it?  Well see

I don't think Michigan had permanent lights until the 1998 renovations.  The cranes they used to bring in for 3:30 games all the way through the 90s used to block half the concourse.

Then you'd get the dreary November noon game where they didn't even have the option.  I remember a game against Boston College in the rain where you could not see the other side of the field

Both defenses probably thinking if they limit big plays they could take this game over

And apparently easier said than done.  I believe that is Northwesterns third 40+ yard gain?
