I will comment-- if I didn't see the school names in the on-screen score box, I'd have no idea who was playing.

Michigan State's uniforms are just bland and confusing, but I actively loathe Northwestern's.

Northwestern doesn't have the talent to afford having a bad kicker

MSUs are simply a take on their classic basketball unis with the script State.  Of all possible alternates, if we have to do it, these (maybe gruff Sparty) are my favorites.  White pants would have been better.  The green pants on the road always look blah.

Huge swing.  Northwestern has a 1st and goal to make it a one score game.  Instead nothing, then they miss a short FG, and MSU goes 80 yards to put it back up to 21.

Walker was a hell of a get in the transfer portal.

I like Northwestern's "gothic" unis.

Sparty has a script decal, which I never liked. Only girls write cursive that looks that perfect.

NW unis have a WLAF look to them.   Don't like em one bit.

I don't hate the Gothic but gold isn't one of their colors the same as when Michigan State had those bronze uniforms a decade ago

The atmosphere at VT last night appeared to be lively, I have heard they are noisy there despite a relatively modestly sized venue.  I understand Iowa is the same.

I had a notion UNC would lay an egg first time out, they did not look very "collected" and their vaunted OL had holes.

And apparently easier said than done.  I believe that is Northwesterns third 40+ yard gain?
Northwestern's offense is in mid-season form

Kinnick stadium in Iowa City holds 70,000 - it's loud but not THAT loud.  Hawkeye fans exaggerate some
Poor Mack and poor ACC

at least Mack looks like he's been eating well

I did the OSU VT game in 2015. It's super loud at Lane Stadium (66K). Like Ohio Stadium, Beaver Stadium, Camp Randell type loud.

I have also done an OSU game at Kinnick Stadium 2000 (70K.) I sat in the Iowa student section and it was crazy, but ... it was no wear near as loud as Lane Stadium. (Granted a good OSU team put a pretty good hurt on a bad Iowa team.)

Same with UNC-VT.......white/dark blue white helmets vs full orange and white helmets.

I don't think Michigan had permanent lights until the 1998 renovations.  The cranes they used to bring in for 3:30 games all the way through the 90s used to block half the concourse.

Michigan didn't have permanent lights until the 2009 renovations. The temp lights in 2008 were put up in the steel framework for the new suites on the sides. Most placed in the league didn't have permanent lights until 2015 or sooner.

Musco Lighting made a killing renting their trucks out for the 2:30 November games.
