I'm going henceforth to consider UGA to be National Champions even if they finish 3-9.

Step aside, Bama!!!

I won't stop watching, but the stakes are going to be so much lower I won't keep checking my phone or have as many must see games.  If we are talking almost entire top 25 in, these top games are going to be similar to basketball and I have never felt those were particularly important.  At least 12 made a second loss feel very worrisome.
Back in the day, that OSU/Indiana game would have had truly tragic consequences for Indiana.

Now, it sucked for them, but, no big deal in the end.

On the other hand, in the present 12 team playoff, ND losing on the road again at BYU like they did v. aTm last year did have tragic consequences for them.

Anyway, the regular season isn't going to matter near as much.  I saw last week that regular season viewing has gone down 11%, that I think may just continue.  Pat McAfee said on Gameday that college football has never been in better shape.  Wish Saban had had the cajones to call absolute bullshit.  He hinted at it, but to outright say it might have hindered his future paychecks.

France is on fire right now. Everyone who doesn't like it here should move there.
Met a nice couple from Chicago today in London. They said they were headed to Paris and Rome next, and concerned.

I told them... "That's what everyone says about Chicago too. Just stay out of the wrong neighborhoods and you'll be fine."

They agreed and realized that put it into context and I think it made them feel better.

The videos and photos being shown on the MSM are very concerning.

Big cities with millions of people. Bad things may be REALLY bad in a few areas, with the rest of the city unaffected. The bad areas sure photograph well though. Gets eyeballs.

Just like Chicago.

This looks much worse than Chicago to me.

FWIW, my wife querier her cousins and a friend this morning.  Both said where they are is unaffected, and much of the city is fine, parts have seen looting and rioting, but not near them.

We were in Paris a couple years back when there was a large "manifestion" (protest).  It didn't get violent apparently, our problem were all the bridges were blocked.  We couldn't get to our hotel.

This was true in Atlanta a few years back when there were protests/riots/looting, the areas affected were pretty localized, nothing near us (other than a couple protests which were annoying but nonviolent).  The TV scenes looked pretty bad, but it really wasn't.

The 2020 riots in Kenosha were very bad, and we were in the middle of it.

TV did not do it justice.

I'm done with the topic, especially on this thread.

Well though he was an excellent HC he also dodges the fact that now legal, others have found bigger bagmen

https://www.footballscoop.com/2026/10/21/joel-klatt-sec-big-ten-scheduling-agreement-expected-once-college-football-playoff-expands-24

Joel Klatt: SEC-B10 scheduling agreement expected once CFP expands to 24

“There are scheduling agreements that are in place once this thing expands officially," Klatt told KTCK-FM 96.7 The Ticket in Dallas on Wednesday. "The next thing that will happen almost immediately is we're going to get scheduling agreements between the SEC and the Big Ten -- top-end matchups, mid-tier matchups, low-end matchups -- and we're going to be expanding the valuable matchups in the non-conference, far surpassing what we have now."
We are all equal but some are more equal than others.
