"Multiple media outlets obtained a TAF email that invited the top 40 donors to the Governor’s Mansion for a presentation on a new financial plan for LSU athletics. This line, in particular, from TAF President and CEO Matt Borman in the email generated some buzz. “Get a first look at an alternative revenue-generating opportunity for LSU athletics that is first of its kind nationally and could quite possibly change the future of college sports in America.” Gov. Jeff Landry will host the event for LSU President Dr. Wade Rousse’s presentations. Note the “s” there, as two separate sessions will be available for donors to attend on Aug. 3 and Aug. 5. It was stressed in the email that this was not a fundraiser event, so perhaps a big announcement is looming that will help shape the future of LSU athletics."
Whenever the TAF and Louisiana politicians announce changing the future of sports, nobody should feel good about that. Whatever this turns out to be, it almost certainly belongs on this thread.
