What's different now than a couple of years ago when FSU and Clemson explored every legal avenue, to no avail?!?

coming from someone that supported him over Kamalala considering she was an even shittier option and the Democrats just seriously deserved to lose for a million reasons- the man really is an asshat. like we really need the president to sign an eo on this when there is only a billion actual important fires to put out in the country and world at large.

this EO won’t hold up in the courts.

I've never supported him directly.  I've never voted for him.

I have actually been aligned to some of his general policy-- at times.

And I agree with everything else you've stated.  He's an asshat, he's a douchebag, he's a bully, he involves himself where there's no need while letting actual important matters go without any attention or action-- matters where he could actually make a difference.

And for sure this EO won't hold up.  In fact it will likely be completely ignored and it will be up to the government to attempt to enforce it at all of our expense, where it will still not hold up and it'll just cost all of of us more money.

Yay.

I'd like Trump to sign an EO saying no CFB conference can have more than 12 teams.

I'd prefer 10.  And a mandatory full roundrobin.

I liked 12, 10 would be fine too.  Two divisions of six I think worked well.  Have a rule no member can be more than 1200 miles from any other member except HI and AL.

Then add a rule each team needed to schedule at least TEN P4ish level teams a year.  Two pastries.

Vote for me####!!!!

Yeah, I was fine with 12, but 10 is better.

The 11 year Big Ten had a weird amount of times where you played 8 of the 10, and somehow the top was screwed up.  A couple of times Michigan helped out.  1993, Wisconsin and Ohio State tied; 1995 OSU and Northwestern didn't play; 2002 OSU and Iowa didn't play; and 2010 OSU and MSU didn't play

I like 10 so there are no divisions, full roundrobin, everyone plays each other.  And there's still room in the schedule for some big non-conference intersectional games.

The ten team conference is very appealing to me.  The only caveat I have is no ties.  If there is a tie for the Conference Championship, then there should be a CCG to determine the champ.  That way you don't get what happened in the Big 12 South in 2008, 2010, and other years.

JFC, can you imagine the SEC with Clemson and UNC?  What is that, 18 teams now?  I truly loved it when the SEC was 14 teams, and I hate the fact that we did not have any kind of natural rotation for fully playing the SEC East.  Georgia has never played in College Station for fucks sake.

I feel like 10 teams per conference with five or six conferences is a good space (split majors and mid-majors). If you have a playoff, send every conference champ, plus X at large teams.

it would mean doing away with conference championship games, but that’s fine with me. That said, if you do have to have a conference championship game 12 or 14 with two divisions is ideal.

I don't think "we" here have ever discussed conference realignments before.
