Well, I guess this topic is now one I'll have to retreat from.

I'd say "pointless for a serious fan", more oriented to drama and entertainment than football analysis, which likely says something about the market.

I wouldn’t know, I never watch them.

Apparently people do, and I hope they get something out of it. It does seem like some parts of them are pretty worthwhile, at least when they’re cut out for more bite-sized chunks.

That said, if I am going to spend the next 10 to 14 hours enjoying football, far better uses for the morning and sitting to listen to someone talk about football.

Specially with this tool Portnoy talking out of his backside,Desmond is dizzy enough on the other channel. CFB viewers doesn't want/need Walvies popping off on every major platform

Ya know he is dialed in when focusing in on match ups,Xs & Os, schemes, formations, aligments and such. Could be unbearable at times as HFC talking past fans and press alike when they know he is spinning a yarn and his less than accurate narrations

I actually agree, he's clearly a football genius- his resume speaks for itself- and he breaks things down in a way that is easy for the average fan to digest.

still won't watch any of these shows. and I do hope Portnoy signs the deal with Fox just because it'll probably annoy Buckeye fans.

Not enough real coaching talk, too much of the other stuff, for me to bother watching.

I used to have them on just as background noise, but these days if I'm planning on watching football all day, I've got about a million things I need to get done before the first game kicks off.

I don't miss them, at all.

Ed Zachery, I love listening to the radio crackling in the back ground(like my dear old dad) with actual professionals announcing while raking leaves and completing other out door tasks around the homestead. And always a vessel of Austrian Lager/Festbier in the vacinity to help things along,Saturdays are still great.

Cowherd says Texas retired Saban....

I think it's silly to say that "Texas drove him out."

But I do think he recognized the changing landscape of college football, and didn't think he would be able to excel under the new conditions.  So he exited.

winning a 12 or 16 team playoff more seasons than not is unlikely
