Anyone been to Cuba?
We visited Havana a few years back, surprisingly impoverished around the port.  A lot of beggars.

I promised myself not to get political here.  There's probably some kind of rule, too.  So. <twitch> No comment.

Kanchipuram

Known as the "golden city," Kanchipuram is located in India's state of Tamil Nadu. Considered an important and sacred Hindu city, it is home to over 100 Hindu temples. Several Dravidian style temples, built between the 3rd and 8th centuries, when the city was the capital of the Pallava empire and a center of Brahmanical and Buddhist culture, still survive there. Today, the city is famous for its high-quality silk saris.

I thought the Cubans would dress up Havana around the port for tourists, and maybe the did.  It was pretty bad by our standards.

In Portland Oregon this week. Spotted a pair of coyotes strolling through the neighborhood this morning:

I'm in Broken Bow, NE this weekend
visiting the youngest
nice visit to the brewery last night - good beer (and on sale = $2.50 a pint) and a good Reuben sammich
then to the owner's house to sit in the subzero garage smokin cigars and drinking damn fine whiskey (Peerless double oak - rhymes with Fearless)

Interesting.

Punta Gorda Airport sets passenger record in 2025 | GB Daily | gulfshorebusiness.com

Gonna be a Wolfgang Puck's, among other places, inside when the renovations/additions are done in 2027.

Glad to hear PGD is renovating and expanding. I only flew out of there once, but it was extremely cramped at the time (2023ish?)

I've been a big fan of SRQ, but they recently added an Allegiant only wing that kinda feels like a downgrade. It was spacious, though.
