They won't be clean when Fearless gets done with em.

Yeah i don't get the hype either.

I like them as a travel stop when I'm towing the RV because they have huge, easily navigable rows of gas pumps, and nice clean restrooms.

Cheap ice too if you're stocking your Yetis for hunting or a beach trip.

I'll try to remember the cheap ice if I revive the annual Sharkwater party

I usually cruise through Gretna on my way to Lincoln

I think it's pretty cool since there is nothing like that anywhere else.  Hard to believe they make a Wal-Mart size store work as a convenience store, so I think that's admirable.

They have a pretty awesome selection of jerky, and the brisket sammich I paid $12 for back before beef skyrocketed was really quite good.

Bought my first straw cowboy hat there last summer in Amarillo on the way back up to the Pampafest.  Rocked it with shorts and flip flops and nobody even gave me a strange look.

The beverage packages on cruise ships are profit centers, for them.  Our upcoming ten day cruise would cost $54 a day for the UBC.  We don't drink that much, my wife is almost down to zero now, she'll have a bit on special occasions.  Even so, I wouldn't justify that on a cruise ship with what I drink, call it a couple glasses of wine at dinner and maybe 1-2 watered down drinks otherwise, and I do think their liquor is watered down, at least on NCL.  We used to get the "free" beverage package until I discovered we can delete it.

And by not having it makes me drink less which is in itself desirable.

I questioned whether it was worthwhile myself, while watching all kinds of prep-for-cruise YouTube vids.  The "expert" I saw said you needed to consume 6 per day to make it pay.  Which I certainly had no problem in getting that bit of money's worth, anyway.

My daughters set me straight for the deal they got us all--it was only $210 pp, and a lot of the drinks I ordered were upwards of $18 EACH.  Jameson & Water was included with no upcharge.  Yahtzee.  Plus, the couple of glasses of wine that were $15 with no drink package--it was a deal, for all of us, anyway.  In addition, all we had to do was hand over the card and get it back when served, no messing with receipts and tips, etc.  Unless I'm going to die from more than 1 drink a day, I'll always seek that deal out.

Now, the gluttony I've exhibited since Dec. 20 got me 20 of the 102 lbs I had lost in 23 months back, but back to being good (strict Keto) for 2 days I'm down 9 of that 20 already.

No package needed on Azamara. It's all included, unless you want mid-shelf, for which you can pay $32/day for that package. Top shelf is $40/day.

Forgot to mention, I can testify that I saw many vodka bottles getting the cap un-screwed before my very eyes.  Vodka Soda was the usual on the pool deck.  Tender-bar even remembered the next day.  But maybe as one inebriated guy advised me, dude that looks like Bob Villa is easier to remember.  Even though I think I'm more Kenny Rogers resembling.

I don't drink nearly as much as I did in my youth - might not need the drink package going forward
but, back in the day on the 2 cruises I saved a significant amount of $$$

It’s included with NCL also, as in “free”.  But it can be deleted.

It costs a lot to be trapped on a boat for two weeks.

heck, I think I only had 8 Budweisers from 4:30-7:30pm while eating 8 chicken wings with reaper sauce and a basket of fries

I may have dozed off for a bit during halftime of the Husker basketball game

Depends on how you define trapped, boat and what "costs a lot" is.

I wouldn't want to be trapped on a boat.

A ship is fine, though I've never felt trapped on one.

The trip I'm going to book is $12K for 18 nights. That's $666/day to stay in a 5* hotel, eat in 5* restaurants, use top fitness facilities and watch great entertainment/lectures/classes/demonstrations. Not to mention being pampered by a great crew.

When looked at in that manner, it doesn't cost a lot. It's not quite Oceana-level, but not much is.
