Just booked a trip to Vienna in late April for two weeks.  Plan is to stay in one hotel and use a lot of tours via Viator hither and yon.

Trying to space out the traveling a bit.  It's nice just to be home for a few weeks anyway.  And yes, I feel fortunate to be able to manage all this.  I did at times work pretty hard for it.

This bronchitis hangs on, I am getting better.  I need to be out running and going to the gym, I may go to the gym later.  We have a concert Saturday night and I hope I'm not coughing during it, they are playing Beethoven's Ninth.

I'd stay home and cough

I'm not really convinced various things advertised are very prophylatic when it comes to viral infections.

My wife is all into such things, but what she takes, to me, looks like placebo, they are not available in the US.

Of course, placebos "work" with surprising frequency.  This is a key reason establishing clinical efficacy is not easy.

I used to get sick every time we went on a trip (plane).

Every. Damn. Time.

No more.

I don't think it's a coincidence that getting sick stopped when I started my regimen.

I was surprised in Asia how few folks were wearing masks.  I had "heard" it was common, preCOVID.  It ain't common post.

I see ~one in a hundred or so today in Europe wearing a mask.  Fine with me, maybe they are sick and want to prevent spreading.

I glanced at some Korean story showing full face protection is effective, shields, masks, etc. which I could take as fairly obvious.

No mask.

And when I had to, I wore this one. Mine was black. Breathed perfectly.

I still think a mask of any sort has a small but real influence on the spread of viral diseases.  There is pretty good logic, and data, to support that.

It's not a panacea.
