I use to be the person in charge of making arrangements, etc., but my wife of 8 years is also use to being in charge of making arrangements and since making her happy is more important than me being in charge, she makes all the arrangements, but does consult me about some things. She generally makes good choices so it doesn't bother me. I also know if she gets bored at home, we are going on another trip.  She was bored last week, so we have now schedule a panama canal cruise, along with the 3 other cruises we already have scheduled and the 2 football long weekends in the fall.

When we went to Turkey, my wife for some reason took only her French passport.  They let us out of the US, but then wouldn't let us out of Turkey (Delta) unless she bought an additional ticket just to Paris (where we were headed anyway).  I figured she'd be better off stuck in Paris than Istanbul, so she did.  Then she went off to try and sort things out.  I was in line to board the plane as we agreed when she showed up now cleared to get back into the US.  Delta even saved her seat next to me.

I didn't get all the details of what she went through, we had about a 3 hour layover at CDG.  She even has the Global Entry card, but didn't have her US passport.

Our Panama Canal cruise was cancelled by Covid. We were to go from Lima to Miami.

Yeah our Budapest/Croatia/Greece trip was canceled because of COVID as well.  And we've never managed to put it back together.

In October, we're headed out of Rome to the Greek isles, it also includes a stop at Cannes and Florence, which seems a bit odd.  Some friends of ours asked if they could join us, which seems like it could be fun.  They have never been to Europe at all.  what is Valletta?

I'm interested in seeing Malta, thanks.  We've been to Athens once, for two days, like it quite a bit.  Also been to Naples for one day, took a tour down to Sorrento.

Now that I think of it, I spent three years in Athens way back.  Neat town.
