Flagstaff is the cold one. Sedona is just off of the Colorado plateau, so it's a lot warmer.

I presume the photos are from a cruise, that's a long cruise, a lot of ports, neat photos.
He is on a cruise. 30+ days, I think he mentioned upthread.

Our recent cruise was 29 days, we were pretty much ready to get home, but it wasn't an urgent kind of feeling.  My wife noted it was nice to have the room serviced daily and food available whenever you wanted.  No work.

That flight home though was rather painful, for me.

Not ready to go home yet. Dreading the 11 hour flight from Heathrow to Phoenix.

Wife said she has forgotten how to cook.  I can see why people retire, give up their permanent homes and just cruise

Yeah, if one can afford it, it can be pretty relaxing overall, though for us the daily excursions at times were very tiring.  And expensive.

I booked one in February for ten days in the Caribbean which I thought I'd never do again, but it goes to places I've never been in the eastern parts.  We aim mostly to relax.

In October we're doing the Greek Isles out of Rome which my wife wanted (and it's fine with me).

My wife really like Hawaii, the Big Island, so we go every other year, and this year in December is it, I rather hope this sort of thing is still extant by then.  Kilauea Volcano.  Photo would be with telephoto lens, you wouldn't get this apparently close of course.  I've seen lava dropping into the ocean and up close and personal, but in both cases it was moving very slowly, just oozing.  I'd love seeing this at night.

Our primary reason for cruising is excursions.

We are contemplating this, but I doubt it would happen. Family and friends.

Yeah, the cost really adds up over a 29 day cruise with say 23 stops.  We want to "see" the stops, and often you really can't walk from cruise terminal to anything of interest.  Some folks get a cab.  We generally take a tour off the boat.  Sometimes I check Viator.

Some of the tour guides can be a bit annoying telling you repeatedly how great X is.  We had a few like that.

I've never been to the big island. My wife has, and wants to go back. So we're considering that this year.

Her best friend's dad passed away last year, and he was a veteran. They're planning to have a service to have his ashes interred in Honolulu late this year, so we're thinking we'd go to support that for a few days and then hop over to the big island for time just for us. I definitely want to see the lava flows.
