Anybody expecting to make up for lost time in a big way?  Or just return to normal?  Or still hunkering down?

We're going to Savannah next week for three days and then it really starts to move for us.

We're heading to New Mexico at Christmas for some skiing (hopefully).

Then going to sunny beaches in Mexico in July 2022 with 4 of my best friends from high school/college and their wives, to celebrate our 50th birthdays.

We were going to do Europe in June, but looks like that will push to 2023.

We are heading to The Bahamas to stay at the Atlantis resort next week.  Always wanted to check that place out, and the kids are at an age where they will really enjoy everything there.

We were supposed to take an adults only trip to the Virgin Islands to stay on my FILs boat.  Unfortunately our friends were dead set on going to the British side, and the COVID protocols to get over there are not travel friendly.  They ended up wanting to postpone the trip and wait til things return to normal.

Oh and I want to work a New Orleans trip in there somewhere too, been way too long since I've been there.  Maybe Spring Break.

We're signed up for a Baltic cruise out of Copenhagen on NCL in May, the itinerary sounds cool, had to cancel last year of course.

I will drive to the Dallas area to visit my brother this winter while the weather is good enough to play golf there, perhaps twice

I have a plan to take my daughters to the San Fran area in Cali sometime in the future, but am waiting until that state drops all COVID restrictions.  Maybe next summer or fall?

Only air travel I've got on the books is going to Pawhuska, OK in December. Yay.

Have a trip planned to Paso Robles in March, but that's driving.

My wife's best friend turned 40 in Dec 2020, and the goal was to take her to Paris for her birthday. Well, breast cancer and then COVID kinda put that trip on the back burner. However she should be done with her treatment late this year, and hopefully COVID will ramp down as it relates to Euro travel, so hopefully we can do that in 2022.

BIL's house in OR is in escrow and they're trying to move to the area north of San Antonio. MIL as also planning on leaving OR, but they're not sure whether they'll end up in TX (Dallas area) or in AZ (Phoenix metro somewhere). I suspect once those moves complete, we'll have some travel to either place next year too...

So you've said... But she's dreamed of going there her whole life, so I'm sure you're not saying that we should substitute our dreams for that of the recovering cancer patient who didn't get to celebrate her 40th birthday right due to a pandemic, right? :57:

I loved Paris. People were surprisingly friendly, compared to the reputation

Obviously, it can be my least favorite city in France and still a fine place to visit.  And it's certainly THE destination for many people in life from the US.  I can't think of another city Americans aspire to visit as a bucket entry.  People look at me like I'm crazy if I say that, when in fact it's both true and says little about how nice Paris may be.  Or not.

I've had some fairly unpleasant experiences there that no doubt color my perceptions, and some good ones, but I've had more positive experiences in other cities in France.

I liked Brussels a lot.

i like Paris, if you've spent the money to get to France then you should at least give it a couple of days.

But yeah, the provinces in France are more enjoyable to me, too.
