I have THREE!  (I might have a bit of a hoarding problem but it's all cool stuff I promise).

One is a stonewashed denim Levi's jacket from around 1988.  One is an acid-washed jean jacket from some off-brand that I bought in 1990.

But the coolest one is a white Levi's denim jacket that was my dad's from the 1950s!

But the kids don't seem to be interested in any of those.

Three Canadian tuxedos?

Well the one jacket is white, so it doesn't really fit.

I didn't go over the top with grunge stuff but I did have a couple of shirts that had flannel bodies but gray sweatshirt-looking sleeves and a gray hood.  I'm pretty sure I bought them at The Gap on campus.

I did not keep those over the years, and I'm fine with it.

Sorta like this:

It was the 90s, lots of weird stuff was happening then.

iirc, in the early-to-mid-90s, Grunge took over the world and I bought basically nothing but flannel shirts for a while to fit in.

Lemme just say.....flannel shirts in the South for most of the year.....nah.  Still have a couple of those and I still like them when it's cold enough, but mostly there's just no good time to wear them much around here.
Apparently those have come back in...

I don't know why my son wears them, and jeans, when it's hot. Granted, he's a beanpole, so maybe he just doesn't generate enough body heat :57:

My kids wear huge baggy super-heavy jeans and hoodies when it's 90 degrees outside.

And then shorts and t-shirts when it's 40 and below.

It don't make no damn sense.

And yeah, I've definitely seen some grunge-style plaid and hoodies making a comeback lately.

Long as the Grunge itself doesn't make a comeback.  I had enough angst and nihilism in my music back then to last a lifetime.

I know, I know.....the music thread is over there ---->

have you asked the not stupid questions?
They know everything, they're teenagers.  So every question is stupid to them.
