USC and UCLA are embarrassments to the B1G. I have no idea what the idiots in Rosemont were thinking.

Ya about the only agruement they have is escalating prices,specially in the land of milk and honey.The greed from networks is also getting appalling. Won't be long before I'll be listening to the December/January games huddled around the Philco by the fire with some refreshments

I will be at this evening’s UNLV Vs Memphis matchup at the Raiders stadium.

Entertaining game; lots of offense racked up, and many Elvis sighting between both fan bases. UNLV couldn't finish drives & Memphis shored up their defense in the second half and held on for a 27-21 win.

Playing in the new Raiders stadium has ended up a good shift for UNLV. They are getting larger home crowds, upwards of 30K in attendance, filling up the lower bowl. Definitely has a smaller-time college football feel.

There's no tailgating scene to speak of because all the pregame is absorbed into the casinos, especially the Mandalay Bay, which is right across I-15 from the stadium. Before, during, and after the game the bridge over I-15 is shut off from traffic to make for a pedestrian walkway between Mandalay Bay and the Stadium.

Conference commissioners don't give a rat's ass about in-stadium attendance.  USC turns on televisions even when they suck.  UCLA was just the ugly friend you had to allow to come along to get the hot girl to come out with you.

I just watched a vid about CFB stadium renovations going on.  Florida spending $1.5 Billion on upgrades.  Northwestern dozing their stadium and replacing it's 45K capacity with 37K?  Talking about butts in seats above...but I guess those butts will pay more for their luxurious space.  Others spending big bucks were pretty much everybody around me--Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska.  Penn State, Memphis, South Florida (new on-campus as well.)

Our most recent renovations decreased overall capacity but significantly increased club level and luxury suite capacity.  That's a pretty common trend lately.

I was going to answer with almost exactly what @utee94 said.  It is the same with Notre Dame.  The Irish have a LOT of anti-fans (myself included) and from a network/ratings perspective those anti-fans are just as good as the actual fans because either way it is a set of eyeballs on that screen and seeing those commercials.
