I'll probably fix EGGS over light on toast for my wife when she wakes up.  If it warms up enough, we might go to the Persian restaurant that has an excellent brunch.  Their lamb chops in particular are terrific.  And their outside seating is above street level on a side street so it's quiet.  My wife likes eggs a lot, for breakfast.  She lobbies for that often.

She got her usual (Greek tacos). I went with jambalaya. Good stuff.
So foreign food tailored to an American palate is bad, but tacos tailored to a Greek palate is A OK?

What's your take on Cincy's Mexican Spaghetti over rice instead of noodles?

Any Vegas people? We are going out next weekend, haven't been since we got married many years ago. My discretionary income is much higher now, want to try some good places to eat, maybe some shows. Any can't miss things?

Our heat is off, it depends on water from the building, and apparently the "boiler" is out.  We have hot water oddly enough which is also from the building.  Anyway, our heat pumps can't pump heat from cold water.  It's not terrible, yet, about 67°F downstairs.

It's 38°F outside and sunny, we still get some heat in the morning from the sun, but not much now.

How was the jambalaya? When done even mildly right, that stuff is excellent. But so many places are terrible at it.

Throw on your favorite dawg hoodie and drink hot liquids.

That's what I do.

My wife likes it warm.  I have on a Braves hoodie at the moment.  I have a small space heater upstairs now, she keeps it in her office usually.  I'm told "they" are supposed to come reset "it" today, the burner I guess.  We just paid to have the whole thing replaced less than a year ago.

They recently opened the only White Castle in the west, in order to keep the Ohio crowd out of all of the other establishments.

I'll save that for right before the flight home

The freeway to Ohio stadium is currently shut down due to a jackknifed semitruck. That must be fun.

I've never found a restaurant in Vegas I thought was both really good and really cheap, or even really good and moderately priced.  Maybe back in the day ... now it just caters to tourists and high rollers.  It's kind of the Gatlinburg of the west, complete with White Castle.

Of course, I couldn't find a really good restaurant in New Orleans either in three days.

I can usually find a place that is anywhere from "quite good" to "really good" to outstanding.

Sadly I usually just get a Jet's pizza when I am in Vegas because it's delicious, and we don't have one here.

I did manage to scrounge up a local Donatos hook up though.
