i can do a systems update tonight when things are quiet, around 0200 or so... and that may take care of it altogether, but the reason for the wait according to the logs (i've been watching this too, and it's been going on for at least a week or so) it's 'cleantalk' that is causing it.
somewhere in our midst there is an IP address that matches a known spammer- I don't think any of you are spammers, but i wouldn't be surprised if a)one of the dormant accounts is a spammer or b) one of your IP addresses was spoofed by a spammer, and made the list of 'known spammers'. because of this CleanTalk pushes each and every post through a filter script before posting... it's a PITA, but it keeps the joint clean.
I've got time this eve to filter through the user accounts and see if i see anything, and i'll reboot the server, clean up and optimize the tables- and stand by to fix anything it breaks (if anything) whilst most of y'all sleep.
