Text from my daughter moments after the Aggie game finished up:

"We beat our scrub worse than UT beat theirs"

My response "52>50"

It's on.   This will be settled on T+1.

It sure does look like the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre folk were behind the last 0:01 of tonight’s Michigan game.
Even my Michigan family are saying it was a joke.  And my SIL is a WMU alum.  You cant pull shit that obviously qeong and expect anyone not to think the fix is in

Let me get this straight...
they wore all-yellow
they were just inexplicably given another play
they stormed the field after beating Western Michigan
.

They should just forfeit the season.

OrangeAfroMan:

Michigan Stadium and the yellow uniforms subliminally influenced the replay referee to make a Banana Ball decision, because irrationality is entertaining.

Michigan football should review the replay, forfeit the first game, take the deserved consequence, a loss, which is all they earned, but not forfeit the season. There should be honor among human beings.

Our society has dispatched honor from the nation's vocabulary.

You missed the point HB was referring to the Russian Officials who put time on the clock twice in the '72 olympics BB Game.

If the Big Ten replay referee has its own video replay, it should be released. Was there a single official on the field that ruled the game to not be over on the field? If there is doubt, doesn't the decision go with the call on the field, or has that changed, too?

Oops, I just answered my question. Cooper Dejean's Iowa punt return TD against Minnesota a few years ago is another example of replay referees making things up as they go to overturn reality as determined on the field of play, and rewrite the outcome.

The Hawkeyes had more yards passing (218) than in any game in the 2025 season. The rushing game included 289 yards. The Iowa offensive line looked better today than the Joe Moore award winners of last year.

It's too early to conclude Iowa will compete for a Big Ten Championship, but as between Iowa, Oregon, and Michigan, I am thinking Iowa has the advantage considering the results of Game 1. That said, Ohio State, Indiana, and USC are in the mix, as well, and the only one eliminated so far is Rutgers.

I have seen Iowa blow out teams before but I have not seen them dominate a first half like that in a long, long time.  Both on offense and defense.  NIU did not have a single first down in the first half.

Yet the whole time I kept thinking,  man NIU must be really, really bad because Iowa does not actually "look"  that good to me.  Time will tell I guess.

The Big Ten released a statement saying a WMU player stepped out of bounds and then touched the ball with 1 second left.

In the disputed play in the WMU-Michigan game, the clock shown on NBC was, apparently, not in sync with the actual game clock that officials in the Big Ten replay center used, per a video the league distributed
