Texas is now 3-0 against all rivals this season.  Even "back in the day" that was pretty rare.  Regardless of what happens the rest of the season, Horns have got to feel good about this.
It always bothers me to lose to Iowa - cause I live here amongst their fans
but, I was REALLY hoping for the 3-0 against Colorado, Wisconsin, and Iowa

would have made the losses vs Indiana, Illinois, and UCLA bearable

Can we hope this is the end?

Gus Johnson Facing Extreme Backlash for Commentary During Michigan-Ohio State Brawl

I kinda half-serious and half-kidding when I say this,  but maybe it's time Ohio St and Michigan got a real trophy for their game,  instead of acting like little children at the end of the game, and really the whole week of the game.

Or maybe I am getting old.  Get off my lawn!

attempting to plant your flag on the rival's home field is childish and will be met with violence

Meh, I'd prefer my team not do it, but it's just grass.  Don't want it to happen, don't lose.   Can't tell you how many times over the past 4 decades of mostly subpar Texas teams I've seen the opponent stomp on our logo or dance on it or attempt to plant a flag.  It's not upsetting because it's "childish" or "classless," it's upsetting because it means your team lost to someone you really didn't want them to lose to.

so what’s your take on OSU players standing as close as possible to Michigan taking the field to talk shit? Is that childish?

I don't want my team doing it either

I also want my team to allow some punks to defile the homefield
It's OK if my team defends their turf, regardless who won the game

I'm just sayin, if you're thinkin it's gonna be fun to disrespect the opponent's homefield infront of the home town fans.......... be prepared to pay the price.

If you assault someone for disrespecting grass, you should probably be prepared to go to jail.

yes, that is also childish

stealing a mascot the night before the game is childish

most of this childish behavior towards a rival is harmless and not a big deal - a little back and forth in good clean fun.
it's a fine line, but desecrating the 50 yard line or brawling, especially by hitting opponents with your helmet is over the top

agreed, it's simple, push them down, tackle them, take the flag and flag pole away from them

no need to hit them with a weapon

It's also stupid to remove your helmet when about to become engaged in a brawl.  Leave that sucker on for your own protection.

I just think it's silly to call out regular rivalry behavior as "chilidish."  Watching 18-year-olds play a game is childish, getting emotional over the outcomes of games played by 18-year-olds is childish, being a fan is childish, playing the game yourself is childish.

Physically assaulting someone when they haven't assaulted you isn't childish-- it's dangerous, and stupid.  Especially if you remove your head protection in order to do so.

really should never pass the admissions office at a high brow place like UT-Austin
