It's going to be a rough one for me - three girls, three soccer games, while trying to watch my beloved Buckeyes take on the not beloved but very much liked Luke Fickell led Bearcats.  I won't be able to really set in and watch football until the 3:30 kicks. Annoying, since all five noon kicks in the B1G have some interest to them.

Got up early (for me) on a Saturday. Pulled out the french press. Ground some beans. Now I'm up and going. Will try to get to the gym and then briefly to lab before the game at noon.

Taking kids for a hike this morning. Small state park just down road from us has some good trails. Gonna get out there before it’s crazy hot.

most of the games are a snooze fest this week. Except for LSU-Texas and A&M-Clemson.

I have a French press too.  His name is Pierre.  He doesn't grind the beans though, instead he stomps them like grapes.

Must be a French thing.

Hit some parties downtown last night, lots of LSU folks in town.  They were mostly friendly.  Headed down to campus after Gameday for some tailgating-- it'll be the first time in 20 something years that I'm going tailgating without being the host.  I'm REALLY looking forward to that.

Very! But when you have the time, it's a pleasant ritual. And I've never had a better cup of coffee. It's the very best when the beans are good and freshly ground, but a french press also does better with old mediocre grounds than the drip method.
