Our son from SF and his GF are coming later in August for my wife's birthday.  She asked me to set up dinner at Bacchanalia, so I did, also at La Grotta.

Neither will be "cheap", both are excellent.

This is Flounders at Pensacola Beach, we liked it.



This is the Grand Marlin, they also had indoor seating of course.  We had a table right on the fence, was nice.

Absolutely, we went to the GM because of their wine list and our anniversary.  Turns out their wine list wasn't what showed on line.

The less formal place was much better overall of course.  Their "wine list" was of course pretty limited, but fine with me.

I have never been.

I have dragged my daughters into Hooters on one or two occasions.  They do have good wings.  Sad we did not go to the Original in Clearwater when middle kid lived across the street, though.

Hadn't really realized it's a national chain... I've only gone for work lunches since it's walking distance from the office...

Pretty solid joint though, so I recommend it if you're in an area where you've got one local--which looks like at least our Atlanta, TX (at least Austin), and AZ folks do...

I see two north of us a bit, which reminds me of the "local" saying "Atlanta is an hour away from Atlanta" ...

Buckhead of course has a slew of restaurants, some pretty solid.

We have eight Michelin one star places here, what's "interesting" to me is that half are Japanese, I've been to none of them.

One is a few blocks away but we've never dined there, it looks like their tasting menu with wine would run a grand per couple.

Yup we go to the one in Austin fairly regularly, as in, maybe 1.5 times every two years?  It's good, nothing bad to say about it at all.
