So, the Grand Marlin was packed, on a Monday, we had a 7 PM reservation, waited around to be seated until 7:20. I was one minute from leaving. Had a nice table, service was slow, food was OK, bill after tip $180 for two, with an OK wine. Fancy is not always the best.
We went across the street the next day for lunch to a place called Flounders, was very good, better good than above, huge portions, very laid back decor and style, good service, vodka drinks were $5. No kidding, the next day $4. They had some gals working on beach volleyball who were ... attractive. Nice little bar out back overlooking the sound. Overall very good. Somehow I left my credit card there Tuesday at lunch, discovered it missing Wednesday and went through "Where did I use it last?".
Amex has a nice web site, I went back to Flounders and indeed they had it, left a sawbuck for the server who turned it in. Hope she got it.
