We had dinner in Cincy at Jean Roberts last remaining restaurant, Bar et Bouef.  It was superb, really for me a reminder of how French cuisine can be in the US.

Jean Robert passed away not long ago, but the place is still up to his standards.  His wife came by later to visit with us.  And my wife told me the restaurant closed the day after that, she kept it open a bit longer because she knew we were coming.

There is a place in Louisville, KY that is up to this par, IMHO, I haven't been in years though.

Home - Bistro Le Relais

Maybe the best example in Atlanta, which IMHO is not as good and more expensive, is this:

Le Bilboquet Atlanta | French Bistro and Bar

It's decent, but pricey as heck.  We've been once.

My wife would groan seeing oysters Rockefeller.  I like them OK at times.

Had lunch today at Bangkok Thai, really good, not pricey.  We strolled through the botanical garden.
