When Iowa Governor Clyde Herring delivered a prize hog from Rosedale Farms of Fort Dodge, Iowa to the Minnesota State Capitol on November 16, 1935, little did he know the likeness of the hog, named after receiving Gov. Floyd B. Olson, would turn into one of the most storied trophies in all of college football. In his honor, we're having a generous helping of bacon, ham, and pork chops at our tailgate.
Unfortunately, our food spread may be the best thing going on Saturday. The Gophers went to College Park and got blasted for 300+ yards rushing by a Maryland team that many suspected was circling the drain. The Iowa Hawkeyes still managed to get 148 yards on the ground in the loss to Wisconsin.
