Resident Genius Bowls: Schedule Quirks

TWO QUESTIONS

Q1. How many passing yards will Purdue generate v. LSU in the Citrus Bowl?

THE MAIN EVENT

College football bowls are subject to the peculiarities of human taste. One such nod occurred during the fall of 1892. Since there were (and are) many houses of worship along Colorado Boulevard, one organizer suggested to the rest of the Tournament of Roses Parade Committee that the 1893 version of the parade, which was to fall on Sunday, January 1, 1893, be moved to Monday, January 2, as not to spook horses hitched along the parade route and disrupt services. This suggestion was heeded, and every time that New Years Day lands on a Sunday since, the parade and chariot races have been held on Monday, January 2.

Those chariots don't run in Arroyo Seco later in the afternoon anymore, but heavyweights of college football do. In this installment, the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Utah Utes take the field under the sun-drenched San Gabriel Mountains.

Q2: How many total yards of offense will Penn State and Utah combine to generate in the Rose Bowl?

Deadline is Monday, January 2, 2023 at 12 PM CST.  Good hunting, Merry Christmas, and happy New Year.

I thought I might git em both, but the Nit's defense gave up 87 and 88 yard scores, and THEN the stoopid Utes had to use their timeouts and score a meaningless TD
