should we stop having playoffs because of opting out

I think there will be far less opting out on teams in the playoff

As long as they keep the schedule to say 13-14 games they can finaggle it any way they want.It's expanding there that will cause big problems

champs of 5 majors and 3 at large

Six team playoff

Champs of 5 majors (if ranked in top 12) and 1 at large (or more if several earth shattering conference upsets occur)

we have in excess of 40 bowl games in a normal year

fitting an 8 team playoff into 7 existing bowls would not be hard
