It would be great to see a coach build up a program and STAY there.

Sounds like Purdue or Northwestern are the favorites for Clemson transfer QB Hunter Johnson.  He was a 4* recruit in the 2015 class, but seemingly lost out to 2017 recruit Trevor Lawrence to back up Kelly Bryant.

I read his brother is at Northwestern? I would think if not for that, Purdue would be a more likely home, with Brohm and his QB-friendly offense. Fitzgerald has had some good QBs, but hasn't exactly been the same level of QB whisperer that Brohm has.
Still, though, Purdue is going to have a lot more competition. Johnson would have to sit out a year, but Sindelar will be a Sr in 2019. He'd have to beat Sindelar out to start in 2019, and then face a pretty solid depth chart in 2020 with Jack Plummer (Brohm's preferred 2018 QB recruit) and Nick Sipe battling him for the job.
So he'd have to really believe he was a shoo-in to beat Sindelar in 2019 and the others in 2020 to want to go to West Lafayette.

BTW it appears that he was a 2017 recruit, so after sitting out he'd still have 3 years eligibility. That makes it more likely he'd be willing to come to Purdue and compete with Sindelar in 2019 (assuming Sindelar hasn't left for the NFL, which he could do with his cannon arm if he shows well this year) and still have 2020 and 2021 to own the job.

If he improves the team and if Brohm feels he will develop better than what he has?

Then, why not?

Yeah, that was a typo.  He has 4 years to play 3.

Not sure where else to put this, but this might be worth its own thread.

Rondale Moore is the first freshman in B1G history to be named a consensus All-American.

Good for him!

That's hard to believe (not a shot at Moore of course).  Nobody, really?

he shared a couple with Moore

was pretty good, Frost asked who won the award if it wasn't MArtinez at his Monday press conference.  Reporter says, Rondale Moore.  Frost smiles and says, oh yeah, he's pretty good!
